Signum is a global advisory firm, based in London and New York, providing independent policy research and strategic advice to financial institutions in the UK, Europe and the US. Signum Global Advisors is a new type of advisory firm at the intersection of policy and markets.

Signum’s primary purpose is to assist clients in making smarter decisions based on a greater understanding of the impact of regulation, legislation and macroeconomic risk on different markets, sectors and asset classes.

In an era of political uncertainty Signum’s research and analytics enable clients to better anticipate opportunities and risks that result from political and economic decisions made in Washington, London and the EU.

The Co-Founders, Charles Myers and Malcolm Gooderham - Chairman and Chief Executive respectively - lead the company, drawing on their combined 45 years of experience in providing capital market and policy advice to senior decision-makers.

Charles has spent over 25 years in investment banking in New York, London and Mexico City advising a diverse range of institutional investors on capital markets generally and global equities specifically.

Separately, Charles has also advised US candidates running for office at the presidential, congressional, gubernatorial and mayoral levels, including most recently the Hillary Clinton for President 2016 campaign.

Malcolm Gooderham's career combines advising both political and business leaders about policy issues, the first half of which he worked for the UK Conservative Party, advising senior figures in Government and Opposition.

Subsequently he established the London-based advisory firm Thought Leadership Group (TLG) to advise companies on developing leadership strategies to meet key corporate objectives.

His clients included financial institutions, multinational companies and government agencies. He later merged the award-winning TLG with the NYSE-listed business advisory group FTI Consulting LLP.

The name of the company, Signum, draws on the Latin term for ‘sign’, underscoring the purpose of the company: to help clients prepare and make better decisions by interpreting different signals from policy makers. Notes to Editors.

Signum has offices in Midtown Manhattan and London's Mayfair, with plans to open a third office in Paris in the second half of 2018. The company is incorporated in England as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) and in the USA as a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) and began trading at the beginning of the year.
